If you arrive in Houston early or are staying a few days after the wedding, here are some things you can do.

Shopping

MALLS: Here are a few malls in the order we recommend you visit.

Houston Galleria (about 5 minute drive). This is good mall for regular shopping and high end brands.
Memorial City Mall (about 15 minute drive). This is a good mall for regular shopping and brands.

OUTLETS: Here are two outlets in the order we recommend you visit.

Houston Premium Outlets (about 45 minute drive). This is a good outlet for regular and premium brands.
Katy Mills (about 35 minute drive). This is a good outlet for regular brands.

Here are a few places comercial districts to visit.

River Oaks District (about 10 minute drive). This commercial district is good to walk around for outdoor shopping, premium restaurants, and green space.
Rice Village (about 15 minute drive). This commercial districtIis good to walk around for outdoor shopping and restaurants.
Highland Village (about 10 minute drive). This commercial district is good to walk around for outdoor shopping.

Here are some places you can visit while you are in Houston.

Space Center Houston NASA (about 45 minute drive). No trip to Houston is complete without visiting NASA. So if you have time, go!
Galveston (about 1 hour drive). Galveston is the closes beach we have to Houston. While it's not the most beautiful beach, there are lovely shopping districts. Plan to spend at least half the day there.
Post Houston in Downtown (about 20 minute drive). Post Houston is a new commercial district contained in a converted post office. The rooftop gardens give you a wonderful view of downtown Houston.
